Rising Sun Wellness Co. is more than a wellness brand. It's a student-led business created through a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) in partnership with the Jackson Empower FFA in Jefferson, Georgia.
Founded on a passion for natural remedies, community wellness, and agricultural education, this small business blends tradition, leadership, and purpose to create something truly meaningful.
About the Jackson-Empower FFA
As part of the National FFA Organization, the Jackson Empower FFA chapter helps students grow as leaders through hands-on agricultural education. Members build skills in farming, science, business, and service, all while growing in confidence, responsibility, and character.
Through this SAE project, we're not only learning what it takes to start and run a business, we're also giving back. A portion of every sale directly supports the Jackson Empower FFA, helping fund projects, leadership events, and agricultural learning for other students in our community.
The Meaning Behind “The Rising Sun”
The name Rising Sun Wellness Co. is inspired by the official emblem of the FFA. The rising sun represents progress and the promise of a new day, reminding us that with every sunrise comes new opportunity.
As a proud FFA member, our founder chose this name to reflect both personal growth and the mission of the business: to rise, serve others, and make wellness accessible to all.
A Note From Wyatt
Hi, I'm Wyatt, founder of Rising Sun Wellness Co. and a proud member of the Jackson Empower FFA.
For my 2026-2027 SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) project, I wanted to keep building something that combines my interest in agriculture, my belief in natural wellness, and my desire to give back. That's the heart of Rising Sun Wellness Co.
This business started with one product: elderberry syrup dry mix. Now I also offer ready-made syrup for local pickup, so there's an easy option for everyone. I source the ingredients, prepare each batch by hand, and sell online and at local events. Elderberry syrup has been part of my family's wellness routine for years, and I love getting to share it with others.
In the future, I hope to grow my product line to include other handmade natural items like lotion, salve, or soap, all made with plant-based ingredients.
